Create Financial Independence With 5 Dollars a Day
Creating income streams of just $5 per day is a great way to secure your financial future. Maybe $5 doesn’t sound like very much, but if you do the math, you’ll find it’s over $1,800 a year. Think about what would happen if you could set up one of these income streams each month in your spare time.
It can be intimidating to create and implement an idea that can make millions, but no one is intimidated at the prospect of making $5!
Following this process will get you well on your way to additional income streams:
1.Make a list of ideas that will allow you to make $5 a day online. It’s important to maintain a list of good ideas. Make an initial list of at least 25 items and attempt to add a few more each day. That way, you’ll always have a source of ideas that you can immediately put into action. A few examples include: Write an eBook and sell it on Amazon.com.
Make a video showing how to do something. It can be as simple as how to prune a rosebush. Post it on YouTube.com and make money via YouTube’s advertising program.
Build a website about your favorite movie star and make money selling related items on Amazon.com or your own selling platform. You can sign up at Amazon.com to make commissions on any items your leads buy from them.
Sell your world famous apple pie recipe on a site such as Fiverr.com.
The list of possible ideas is nearly endless. Try to come up with ideas that require little time and not much initial expenditure. The whole idea is to get a bunch of these $5 streams going simultaneously.
Continuously ask yourself, “What do I know that might be valuable to someone else? How can I monetize it?”
2.Grab the best idea from the list and get busy. In most cases, it should take roughly 20 hours of work to put a single idea into action. That might take a week or two, depending on your schedule and level of motivation. Some ideas will take longer to implement than others. And some ideas might require more marketing time than others.
Avoid spending too much time. You never know for certain what’s going to work and what isn’t. Many ideas will fail to produce a single dollar. But several of your ideas will produce far more than $5 per day. The $5 average isn’t difficult to attain.
3.Stay focused on one project until it’s 100% complete. Many people think they must have a spectacular idea to make a decent amount of money. You actually just need a decent idea and effective implementation. Someone somewhere is making $1 million a year retreading tires and someone else is doing just as well selling paperclips. See your $5 project through until it’s fully implemented. Then start another and do the same thing.
Create a schedule for yourself. Avoid the mindset of just throwing whatever free time you have at your projects. Schedule your project time.
4.Occasionally consider how you might adjust your completed projects that are already successful. A simple tweak might cause the project to do even better.
5.Think about some simple ways you can save $5 every day. Saving $5 is just as
good as earning $5. Then, take that $5 and invest it.
It doesn’t require a million dollar idea to become financially comfortable. You simply need several five-dollar ideas that you can implement quickly and leave on autopilot while implementing additional ideas.
That “measly” $5 a day really adds up. If you could implement 25 ideas that average $5 per day for each, it would total $125 a day. That’s over $45,000 per year of essentially passive income! Get started on your $5 ideas today
Where to Find Financial Support for Your Brilliant Startup Idea
Your amazing business idea may need funds to be successful. However, it’s not easy to finance a startup in a sea of competitors.
Consider many sources for your startup funds:
1.Use your own finances. Instead of getting a loan or borrowing from others, see if you can finance your startup with funds you save or gather. Do you have savings that can be used to fund your new business?
Do you have items or services you can sell to raise money? This may take awhile, but you might feel more comfortable delaying the launch of your company a bit while you earn the money to get it started.
2.Ask friends and family to help. Do your family and friends think that the startup idea is a good investment that will bring high returns? If you have support from these sources, they might be interested in loaning you the startup funds or investing in your new business. Your friends or family members can become lenders, partners, or investors in the startup.
They can contribute to the financial side, but they may also want to be involved in other areas. It’s important to negotiate an arrangement that you feel comfortable with.
3.Use crowdfunding. There are multiple online crowdfunding platforms, such as Peerbackers, Kickstarter, Indiegogo, RocketHub, and others, that can help you raise money. These websites let you share your startup idea with the public. Then, the public can donate money in return for items, services, or a share in the company, One key to success on a crowdfunding platform is to have a unique story.
You can raise money for your startup and introduce your product or service at the same time.
Keep in mind that these platforms are filled with competitors, and it’s not easy to get all the funding you need. A successful campaign on these platforms usually includes social media and marketing efforts.
4.Enter startup contests. Big brands and investors sometimes have contests for startups. These contests put you in front of big names who are interested in investing. They help you get recognition while you learn from other startups. You also have the chance to fine-tune your ideas to make them more appealing to investors.
5.Seek angel investors. Angel investors want to help new companies and make a profit in the long term. They have large sources of money, so your startup may be able to get all of its funding in one area. Angel investors tend to ask for a portion of your company or shares. They may ask to be partners or have control over startup decisions.
Because of their financial commitment, they have a vested interest in your success and want to ensure that your new business brings in high returns.
6.Consider financial institution loans. Banks, credit unions, and other sources may offer you a business or personal loan to fund your idea. They may require collateral and ask detailed financial records and other information about the startup. Small business loans are a popular choice among startups.
Before you get a loan, consider the fees and interest on the loan.
What if your business doesn’t bring in enough profit to repay the loan? How will you repay it? It’s important to have a Plan B.
Launching a startup is an exciting time! Follow a profitable business plan and keep your eye on the profits so your new business can repay the startup funds as soon as possible and move on to providing you the returns you deserve.
Making Sense of your Social Media Analytics – Quick Reference Guide
Whether you like it or not, social media has now become a part of everyday life and that includes how you present your business to your customers. Whether you own a small handyman service or a computer repair shop, if you want to increase your market share, you’ll need to have a presence on social media.
But how can you determine whether or not you are actually making an impact on social media? It can be daunting at first, especially if you don’t consider yourself an expert when it comes to technology, but all you have to do is follow these guidelines and you’ll easily be able to understand how your customers are interacting with you through social media.
Understanding Social Analytics
It makes sense to actually understand the meaning of social analytics before you attempt to measure it. To make it simple, social analytics are the measurements of the success of your social-media marketing. However, it doesn’t necessarily mean you need to look at the number of your Facebook followers or the amount of retweets you get (though that is one part of it). Instead, you need to be looking at the following things in order to fully understand your social media analytics.
The Size Of Your Community
This one is pretty easy to understand, as all you have to do is look at the total number of followers or Facebook fans that you have. If you have multiple social media accounts, you will want to look at all of your fans across the entire social media spectrum, as the combined total can be an indication of whether or not you are effectively marketing yourself on social media. The more you increase the size of your community, the more effective your social-media marketing is going to be.
To keep track of all of the analytical data for your social media profiles, Klout is a resource that you should definitely consider advantage of. It can examine up to 12 social media profiles and will measure the influence of each profile based on the level of your followers’ engagement. It can easily allow you to see which updates you make have the biggest impact on your customers and followers.
Here is where things get a little tricky. Your bounce rate is the percentage of visitors who either leave your site immediately after visiting it or bounce around from page to page on your site. A higher bounce rate means more people are actively exploring your site, which means they are engaged by your content and want to find out more! Google Analytics is one of the best analytical resources on the market, especially when it comes to determining bounce rates for small and medium-sized businesses.
Visit-to-Lead Conversion Rate
This determines exactly how many of your followers are actively visiting your social media profiles because of “leads” that you are having. This can be anything from having a special offer on a product or service that you offer or some type of other promotion.
Measuring this can allow you to see which leads are more successful than others, which can allow you to increase the effectiveness of your social-media marketing strategy. If you’re having trouble determining this information, Google Analytics is a great tool for analyzing these types of conversion rates.
Lead-to-Customer Conversion Rate
This is perhaps the more important conversion rate. It can be a little difficult to track, since it doesn’t technically take place on social media, but it can help you determine whether or not your social media presence is bringing in customers. This conversion rates refers to the number of people that actually become one of your customers because of one of the “leads” you posted on social media. Understanding this number can allow you to identify which leads are the most effective at bringing in more potential customers.
The Tone of Engagement
The age old saying “there is no such thing as bad publicity” doesn’t really apply to social media. A good reputation that took you years to build can come crumbling down in a matter of days if you neglect your brand on social media. So you need to be able to determine whether or not your customers/fans are positively engaging with the content on your social media sites. It can help you determine if they are happy with what you offer and if they seem unhappy with something, you can attempt to communicate with them in order to fix it.
Who Exactly Are Your Followers?
Understanding your clientele base is important in any business and social media can easily do that for you. This aspect of social analytics is important because it not only allows you to determine who your customers/fans are, but other crucial marketing aspects, like where they are located or what time they are visiting your site.
It can also help you determine if the people visiting your sites are actually leads or other “competitors” in your industry – which means you need to change your social marketing strategy in order to bring in fresh customers.
Determining Where the Lead Came From
If you’re running special promotions on referral or paid advertising websites, you’ll definitely want to know whether or not they are effective at bringing in customers. This statistic can help you determine which leads bring in more traffic to your site and can allow you to figure out where you want to focus most of your social-media marketing efforts.
One of the best social media analytics resources that can track your leads is Bit.ly. It is a URL shortening and tracking tool, which can be incredibly useful if you use Twitter, and Facebook too I suppose. More importantly, it can help you determine which links are getting the most clicks. By taking advantage of this resource, you can figure out what type of content your customers/followers are more likely to be interested in.
How Do Your Customers View Your Brand?
Understanding your customers is incredibly important, which is why you’ll want to know whether or not they started following you by word of mouth or if they “liked” your page after they took advantage of a special promotion. This can give you insight into how effective your marketing strategy is and whether or not some customers are satisfied with your products and promotions.
And if you really want to get a full understanding of how your customers/followers view your brand, SimplyMeasured offers free analytical reports that can show you how effective you are on each social media site. SimplyMeasured even offers reports that compare your social media statistics to your competition!
By utilizing the proper resources and tools, you can better understand your social media analytics. And by understanding your social media analytics, you can better understand your customers’ motivations, as well as what makes them a loyal supporter of your brand!
Facebook may have started out as a way for teenagers and college students to easily connect, but it’s become much more than that. Much More. Today, the social network’s 1 billion user base is a goldmine for businesses looking to grow their brand.People continue to connect with other individuals on Facebook but they have also connected with brands and businesses.
While traditional marketing in newspapers, television, and other forms of media can be focused onto desired target audiences, their focus is quite limited. A law firm that markets their business in a business newspaper or TV channel will be limited to just one certain audience: business people. Other than knowing that the ads are going out to a business audience this example law firm wouldn’t be able to target their audience in any other way. Not to mention that determining exactly how many people viewed newspaper or local TV advertisements is difficult and not accurate.
With Facebook Ads, this same law firm would be able to laser focus their target audience. They would be able to choose the location of people to advertise their services to, their age, their gender, education level, interests, behaviors, language, income, and even relationship status.
One behavior that a law firm might want to include in their Facebook target audience is “small business owner” or “highly likely investors.” The law firm might also want to advertise only to people that are interested in “company mergers” or “corporate defense lawyer.” If this law firm decided to start handling divorce cases, they could also target “married” or “divorced” users.
Laser focusing a business’s target audience is instrumental in lowering marketing costs, as well as boosting conversion rates. Separate ad creative on Facebook that target certain audiences are also going to convert much better than general creatives that might be seen in newspaper or TV advertisements.
In a newspaper advertisement a law firm might have to stick to a generic headline like “Are you getting a divorce? Make sure you’re legally protected!” This headline would have to apply to women and men.
On Facebook Ads, a law firm could create an advertisement that goes out to men between the ages of 25 and 55 that are married or divorced, and the headline could say “Do you need legal help divorcing your wife?” It’s obvious how such a targeted approach would result in lower marketing costs and increased conversion rates. However, not all local businesses are aware of Facebook ads and how beneficial it can be to their marketing campaigns.
Versatility of Facebook Marketing
With Facebook Ads, businesses can market their brand, products, or services in four distinct placements that can have their own efficiency and lead quality benefits.
Desktop News Feed
Advertisements that show up on target audience news feeds will look like the content they see from friends and pages they like. The only difference between their friends’ content and your business’s ads is that the word “Sponsored” will show up underneath the ads.
Advertising on news feeds is effective because business ads ads are integrated into the content the user is browsing.
Mobile News Feed
These type of advertisements are displaced in the same way desktop news feed ads are, but they are only seen on the mobile version of Facebook. The mobile version of Facebook refers either to the native app used on iPhone or Android, or the browser mobile version.
Right column advertisements will show up under a “Sponsored” section on the right column of Facebook. This ad placement isn’t as integrated as the ad that shows up in the news feed, but it is much less expensive because of that. Testing both desktop news feed ad placements and right column ads is paramount in finding the most profitable ad placement for your business.
Partner Mobile Apps
Apps that are partnered with Facebook will display your advertisements within their content or at the bottom of their user interface. Advertising on mobile apps isn’t really something most businesses test, but it’s an option that’s available for them when they are running profitable campaigns and are looking to expand.
The Advantages of Building a Facebook Fan Base
Facebook Ads can be used to reach Facebook users that are in your business’s target audience. The ad may incite Facebook users to redeem a coupon, visit your site, share your content, or even place a call.
However, Facebook Ads can also be used to grow your Facebook page’s fan base. This may not sound that important at first, but it’s essential to a marketing strategy of a business that needs to lower costs in the long-run.
A business with 5,000 fans for example can post something on their Facebook page and have it appear on their fanbase’s news feed. At regular times of the day most Facebook pages reach the 10-20% of their fan base: this is because not all fans are online at the same time of the day.
Unlike paid Facebook advertisements, having a large fanbase makes it possible to market to your fans for free after acquiring them. The best part about Facebook fans is that you can earn them just by asking existing customers to like your Facebook page. You don’t necessarily have to invest in Facebook Ads to drive likes and fans to your Facebook page.
After a fan likes your page you’ll be able to reach them with your posts again and again for free. Not to mention that having a fan base makes it extremely easy to share special offers and news with previous and future customers.
If you ever sell your local business, you’ll be able to sell it for much higher if it has a fan base and is loved by customers. Business owners invest based on value, and a fan base that can be tapped into regularly for future marketing holds a lot of value. Even if you’re not selling your business you’d want to take advantage of Facebook Ads to boost sales and lower marketing costs.
Facebook Success Stories
If you think that Facebook advertising is only for the big companies like Dell and Dominos, then think again. Facebook Ads success stories range from brick and mortar stores all the way to national Saas solutions.
One prominent local business which succeeded with Facebook ads is State Bicycle Co. By using Facebook ads for marketing coupons and offers, State Bicycle Co. was able to increase annual sales by $500,000.
State Bicycle Co. was also able to reduce their cost per click by 80% compared to the other advertising platforms they used for online marketing. A major part of this cost reduction was brought on by the laser focusing opportunity gave them. State Bicycle Co.’s target audience included people with interests in “big shot bikes,” “Missions bicycle,” and “track bikes,” which were exactly the sort of bikes the company sold.
In addition to boosting sales with Facebook Ads and decreasing marketing costs, State Bicycle Co. also increased awareness of their brand and grew their fan base.
The Power of Optimization
Traditional marketing across newspapers and televisions makes it hard to test various creative quickly. With Facebook Ads your business will be able to tweak creative as often as desired, to achieve the exact results required as soon as possible.
If you have an ad creative with a certain headline, but want to test which images boost click-through rates, then you can just add multiple images to that campaign and Facebook Ads will split test which performs the best.
Testing various headlines and ad text is also efficient with Facebook Ads: simply duplicate your business’s ads, and then add in the new headline or ad text tests. The creative version of the ad will be different, but you’ll be able to keep the same targeting and audience parameters.
Instead of having to spend thousands of dollars on testing campaigns before knowing if they are worth continuing or not, Facebook Ads lets you do that at a fraction of the cost at a click of a button. This is exactly why Facebook’s marketing platform is effective for local business.
The other advantage of Facebook is the cost. After setting up a dozen or two ads for testing and setting the budget of each add to a few dollars, you’ll be able to see how ads perform. The highest performing ads can then be scaled with higher budgets, and larger targeting locations, to grow at a pace that’s right for your business.
This insures that you’re never investing so much into marketing that if the marketing campaign fails, your business will be in hot water too. It also insures that campaigns aren’t so successful that they sound thousands of customers to your business and you fail to fulfil orders or services because you can’t handle the rapid growth. Facebook Ads lets your business grow a pace that’s right for your marketing budget, but also at a pace that’s right for your business’s growth goals.
Just little over a decade ago, no one would have thought that most of the world would be hooked on online platforms that would let them share anything from phrases to pictures and videos, just expressing themselves. The idea of people sharing updates on their lives for others to see didn’t really seem like something that would catch on, much less with anyone over the age of 18, but here we are, in an era where ‘being social’ is directly linked to how active one is on social media.
Social media has now turned into one of the primary ways of marketing businesses and products, simply because it’s so much easier for content to go viral, at just a click of a button. Why spend thousands of dollars on a billboard teasing a huge reveal for an upcoming movie when you can literally just post it on social media and sit back while the audience does all the sharing? All the buzz you want to generate among users is done pretty much by themselves, it’s almost a self-sustaining way of marketing. Even the smallest bits of information can blow up and become incredibly popular, that’s how powerful social media is.
This is exactly why social media is a great way to generate traffic, for both adult and non-adult websites. Since millions of people use social media platforms every day, it’s basically the best place to increase visibility, without too much of an investment. It’s quite simple really, the more visible you are in a place with more people, the higher the chances are of being noticed. Think about it, a street performer will get more attention at Times Square than in a random neighborhood somewhere else. It’s the same principle.
The only catch is that the most used social media platforms aren’t too adult-content friendly, so you have to find other ways of advertising. But that doesn’t mean you have to stay away from such platforms, it only means that you have to carefully pick and choose what and how much content you post. Teasers, quizzes, opinions, polls, there are multiple ways to keep audiences engaged. As for the platforms that do allow adult content, you can go nuts!
Before we dive into the specifics of social media traffic generation methods for adult websites, it’s worth being aware of a couple of guidelines that hold true no matter what platform you’re looking at. These are things to keep in mind before you start off with all your promotion efforts. Think of it as the foundation upon which you’re laying your brand image.
Unique and High Quality Content
– This is a no brainer, but pretty much the most important aspect of all. Your foundation is built on content; without which you can’t even share anything. Users are always looking for new and unique content, so you have to make sure to not only post great content, but post it regularly. Both of those things aren’t supposed to be mutually exclusive though, a site with great content posted with huge gaps and a site with mediocre content posted regularly aren’t going to be popular by any means. It’s got to be both.
Active Profiles on All Major Networks
– Whether or not the social media platform is adult friendly, it always helps to have some sort of presence. Like we mentioned before, you can simply share mainstream content and link it back to your website, or even better, a blog. By offering more than competitors, you’re only doing yourself a favor.
Add Website URL
(Wherever possible) To All Social Media Accounts – This also might seem like something everyone would do, but the surprising truth is that it’s not really that widespread. A lot of brands and businesses assume that their name is enough for users. Even if they’re visible as the very first result on Google, hardly any users, if at all, will take the effort of searching for them. Just add your URL to the account, or the blog URL in case of non-adult friendly networks, and you’re good to go!
Don’t Always Toot Your Own Horn
– Not all content you share on social media platforms has to be self-promotion. Users are always looking for something that benefits them, so constant advertising can only bring you so much traffic. Now if you offer engaging content and build a relationship, users will keep coming back for more and share your posts because they’re offering value independently. More shares always help!
Must Know for Social Media Promotion
Connections Matter – Finally, among all these efforts of marketing and promotion, a lot of businesses and brands forget the very essence of social media, which is human sharing. What’s the point of being on a social media platform if all shares are only geared towards self-promotion like a billboard? Social media is all about engagement and connections, so you’d be wise to come off more like a human sharing posts and engaging with audiences rather than a cold and calculated machine which just shares posts praising the brand.
Now that you’ve got the basics set up and understood, it’s time to dive into how to actually generate traffic from social media! Here’s a couple of strategies we highly recommend you follow to get your adult website booming in no time. Note that not all points might apply to all networks, so you have to be perceptive of the kind of leeway you’re giving by each network.
The Best Ways to Generate Traffic from Social Media
Blogs are the Best! Remember when we said how unique content and connections are really important in the social media promotion game? Blogs are the way to cater to both these priorities. Not only do they open up options for promotions on non-adult friendly networks, but also let you express yourself apart from self-promotion. A brand that looks to offer value other than promoting itself is a brand that will get more attention. Now, if you’re running an adult website, apart from sharing new content, if you share articles about say, natural aphrodisiacs, the life of a porn star, porn trends around the world and similar topics, you come off as a resource of information rather than a brand. That shift in perspective is paramount to your value. Good content can be shared everywhere, no matter the source. Plus, for social media networks that don’t allow you to post adult content, blog content is your ticket to sharing.
Social Media Ads
Ads on other websites or through affiliate marketing are of course great ways to generate traffic, but you can’t argue against the fact the most traffic is seen on social media platforms every day. Pretty much all major social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter offer ways for you to advertise, after paying a certain amount. Your outreach can depend on your budget, so you can start small and scale up later. It’s not a primary way of promotion, but it’s a great technique you can include in your strategy.
Every network has a ‘thing’. Facebook is all about human interaction, Twitter is all about sharing in tidbits and Tumblr is all about visual content. Understanding what each network’s user values will definitely help you generate more traffic. When creating content, if you keep this in mind and create according to the end user, there’s far more chances of being noticed. Visual content is always highly regarded, so make sure you do include pictures and media without it being an overload. The simple and somewhat harsh truth is that not everyone has the time and patience to read a wall of text, so pictures and artwork are great ways to express yourself.
Hashtags and You
While hashtags are most closely associated with Twitter, they’re actually now popular even on Facebook. Cleverly hashtagged content, done according to trends and not by going overboard, can help your content reach the right users. It’s no secret that concentrated marketing is a great approach, and proper hashtags help you do so. Content Sharing Schedules
Another fairly big mistake a lot of brands and businesses make is single sharing content. Unlike RSS feeds, not every user sees all content posted because of their usage patterns. If a user logs in once in 2 days and you share content every 12 hours, there’s a high chance they’d miss some great stuff simply because they’re not online. There’s merit in sharing content more than once, in proper intervals, alternating between networks, and with different hook texts or calls to action. Just don’t spam, and you’re golden.
High Conversion Keywords
In the world of SEO, using the most popular keywords might not be the best approach because of competition, but in social media, using high conversion and high popularity keywords can fetch you more visibility. It’s important to be relevant and visible, which can only be done using proper keywords. Spend some time researching the most popular keywords according to your niche and use them regularly while sharing, and add to it specific content keywords.
So there you have it, ways to generate huge traffic from social media platforms, for adult websites! Just keep in mind that these strategies require time and effort to pay dividends, so don’t give up after trying them only for a month or so. Also, apart from this, make sure your website is both SEO and social media friendly, with easy sharing and social media embedding, it will help you in the long run!
LinkedIn is one of the peculiarities of the social networking experiment. It’s not ubiquitous like Facebook, Twitter or even Pinterest. Yet, it has found a niche all its own, as a business tool, and particularly for small to mid range companies who want to network and reach their intended market.
The only problem you might be facing is, how do I use this tool—seemingly with unlimited possibilities—specifically to promote my business? We’re going to break down seven strategies that can’t fail you.
Make Valuable Connections
Like any social networking site, the ultimate goal of LinkedIn is to connect people and allow you to network your brand to new leads, or new business associates that can help you. While you may only find a few friends and associates based on email searching, you can take advantage of LinkedIn Groups, and connect to people in your niche industry or in local and regional locations. You can also used the Advanced Search option to target a specific market and find people, companies and industries of interest by keyword.
Build Your Authority by Showcasing Your Knowledge
Publicizing your name under the guise of answering simple questions is a great way to generate brand awareness, and also get a keen insight into the mind of your potential customers.
A few years ago, posting articles on online directories was a fairly good way to prove your authority. However, it wasn’t long before VIPs in the search engine industry realized that the lack of interaction between writer and readers was less than impressive.
The truth is, people are far less inclined to believe someone who gives a speech, than a person who takes unscripted questions and has the ability to reply. This shows your potential leads and associates that you know your industry well enough to interact with the public in an objective and neutral way, and also gives you the opportunity to repeat your name and brand publicly without link spamming. In general practice, avoid just talking about your opinion and instead quote reputable sources and include your own expertise. Leave your answer open-ended so as to encourage more conversation and perhaps make more connections.
Get Endorsements on Linkedin
A recent study from Dimen-sional Research shows that positive endorsements from sites like Yelp, Angie’s List, & Amazon influence a decision almost 90% of the time.
Endorsements are easier for a connection on LinkedIn to put in a positive word in for you without going to the trouble of writing a recommendation.
These endorsements are like reviews for your small business. You can use them to build up your business’s reputation. Plus endorsements can lead to recommendations which we’ll talk about below.
Get Recommended and Build Authority
The age old saying that you should “let someone else say it” rather than saying it yourself proves true in online marketing. It always has.
People are more persuaded by word of mouth, by the seemingly objective endorsement of other people.
This shows your audience that your service or product is great enough to earn other people’s recommendations. Recommendations are like referrals, and referrals are gold! Best of all, LinkedIn’s recommendations appear on your page, and even better, they cannot be forged.
Host an Event and Keep People Up to Date
Hosting an event via LinkedIn lets you build awareness for your brand and also generate additional leads, since the event is advertised to your network. The Event Platform is easy to work with and helps you “promote the event” by asking questions about your purposes and subject. Online RSVP will help you keep in touch with your most important targets, and the announcement also shows up on their page.
LinkedIn has an Events Tool search that lets people find your event based on mutual interest, as well as geographic location and industry. The flexibility of this online tool has resulted in many more links and connections being made, since you are no longer limited to traditional in-person events but can actually organize workshops, virtual webinars, phone conferences, round table discussions and more. One of the hottest strategies right now is to organize a regular monthly event, online or otherwise, and build visibility with your regular audience and with new members that hear about the meeting from LinkedIn announcements from friends of friends.
Other tips you can try incorporating include:
Creating a logo, using simple and probably free software, that will make it stand out.
Come up with a creative title so that it will capture attention and hopefully be shared (and shared on more social media sites than just LinkedIn)
Always finish with a call to action. We remember this in articles and yet we seem to forget this golden rule in social media. If you don’t tell your audience what to do at the end, they won’t do anything. Always include a strong call to action after advertising a meeting.
Include keywords that describe your industry and reason for the event.
Promote your event in groups, preferably the most relevant groups to the theme of the event. It’s not blatant advertising if you’re providing value
Post about the meeting on your status messages. Remember an active page represents a busy company. Ideally, you tie in the latest company event with your status messages, generating excitement for the event
Much like other social networking sites, the ability to speak openly & candidly is another way you address any issues and provide amazing support to potential customers, so use it wisely.
Use Sponsored Updates
If you are afraid of coming across as an aggressive or too spammy, then using LinkedIn’s Sponsored Updates to reach targeted users can help, and generate greater paid lead generation than many other social media strategies. Recently, HubSpot worked with LinkedIn and reported a 400% lead increase with their targeted audience.
Reach Out and Make the Personal Connection
The biggest mistake people make using LinkedIn and other social pages is to lie back and wait for the traffic to generate.
Particularly because this website is professional and the opposite of the informal Facebook atmosphere, people tend to be suspicious when you add them without explanation. It is better to be proactive and to send personal messages to people before or as you add them. This way you can create the emotional connection that so many companies are missing in an overly optimized and online market.
The best approach to these messages is to look for areas of interest that you might have in common and then write to them personally, not as a form letter. Mention why you are reaching out and create an honest and meaningful message introducing yourself. HP recently used LinkedIn for greater emotional engagement with its social media audience and reported 300,000 new followers in two months, along with an increased attrition and engagement rate, and even a 2.5 increase in customers who refer the company’s products to friends, family and acquaintances.
The biggest mistake people make using LinkedIn and other social pages is to lie back and wait for the traffic to generate.
Chances are, if someone was searching for you, you have a targeted lead that would not so easily dismiss a personal message. The Who’s Viewed Your Profile option received 76% of respondents’ votes for the best feature of LinkedIn.
As you can see, using LinkedIn has a number of benefits but only if you are willing to use its variety of tools and features consistently… As opposed to blindly posting and visiting once every month.
This doesn’t mean that you have to spend hours at a time that take up your entire day. Most people couldn’t bear to spend literally hours a day on a social networking site, right? Err… Sorry Facebook devotees. Make the most of your efforts by spreading out the time you spend on LinkedIn, try to check in daily, or at least a few times a week. This way you can keep your presence consistent, your name ubiquitous and your brand promoted.

5 Foolproof Ways to Get Visitors BACK to Your Website
Attracting a visitor to your website once is good. It means that your marketing is strong enough – or your Google rank is high enough – that you stood out from the competition and snagged some traffic.
If you know anything at all about marketing, you know that it’s rare for a first-time visitor to a website to buy anything or even fill out a subscription form.
It’s what they do on their NEXT visit – and the one after that – that will determine whether you’ve gained a new customer.
Makes sense, but it never ceases to amaze me how many businesses don’t focus on repeat traffic. But, that’s about to change.
Here are 5 foolproof ways to get those first-time visitors BACK to your website so you can make some money.
#1: Get Them to Opt In to Your Mailing List
I know, I just said it was asking a lot to get a first-time visitor to your site to subscribe to your mailing list. But I didn’t say it was impossible!
The key, of course, is to give them a compelling reason to subscribe. Here are some ways you can do that:
Put your opt-in form above the fold. That way, they won’t need to scroll down to see it – and they’ll know what they’ll be getting if they decide to subscribe.
Simplify your form. I get that it’s tempting to ask a new subscriber for extra information – but all you really need is their email address and maybe a first name if you want to personalize your emails. Anything else – whether it’s their phone number, mailing address, URL, or shoe size – is extra. You should think long and hard about adding fields to your form.
Incentivize the opt-in. A compelling and useful lead magnet can do a lot to get someone to fill out that form.
Write a killer headline and call to action. Instead of just “Subscribe to our newsletter,” try “Get new marketing tips every day” as a headline. And make the CTA just as exciting.
Once a potential customer’s on your mailing list, you can email them with reasons to come back to your website. Simple, right?
#2: Prioritize the User Experience
If people aren’t coming back to your website, it could be because they didn’t enjoy their experience the first time they visited. That means that prioritizing usability is one of the best ways to encourage repeat visits.
Some of the things to think about when it comes to usability are:
Your site’s loading time
Clear and easy-to-use menus
Text that’s broken up with white space, images, and formatting (sub headers, bullet points, numbers, etc.)
Working internal and external links that make it easy to find related content
If it’s been a while since you’ve evaluated the usability of your site, now’s a good time to do it to make sure that you’re not frustrating visitors and discouraging them from returning to your site in the future.
#3: Make the Content on Your Site Relevant to Your Target Audience
Are people finding what they expect to find on your site? If a customer comes to you because they’re searching for art supplies, for example, think about what you can offer them that will add value to the products you sell. Can you provide a video tutorial on painting technique? A link to the website of an artist who uses that product?
The idea is to make sure that the content on your site – whatever it is – is directly relevant to the people you most want to attract. If you’re selling Human Resources software, have blog posts about topics that are relevant to HR professionals.
#4: Retarget Visitors with Advertising
Because it’s rare for first-time visitors to convert, it’s essential to have a way to connect with them again even if they don’t opt-in to your mailing list. That’s where retargeting comes in.
As you probably know, retargeting is a kind of advertising that targets individual visitors to your site based on their behavior when they’re there. For example, you can:
Display an ad for a product they viewed – or an alternative product
Let them know about a new blog post on a similar topic to an older post they viewed
Remind them of the lead magnet they passed up when they didn’t opt in
Encourage them to complete the checkout process if they added items to their cart
Retargeting is something you can do on Google or on social media. Simply pick the actions you want to target and watch your conversion rate soar.
#5: Offer Solutions to Common Problems
The final thing you can do is to make the content on your website solution-oriented. Most people who type a keyword into Google do so because they’re looking for answers. That means that if you want them to bookmark your site, you need to provide them with what they need.
Focusing on solutions can also help you improve your site’s rank for keywords in voice search. Given the increase in the use of “Ok Google” as well as virtual assistants like Siri, Alexa, and Cortana, it makes sense to think about the questions that searchers are likely to ask when looking for sites like yours. Then, you can optimize your useful content for those questions.
Your solutions may come in any format you choose. You might create a blog post with a response to one question or produce a video or even a short webinar for another. The key is to focus on the visitor’s needs instead of promoting your company or brand. There’ll be time enough for that later.
Visitors need an excuse to return to your site…
The five things I’ve listed here can help you give them one. Remember, it’s less about promoting the awesomeness of your brand and products, and more about providing visitors to your site with reasons to return – as well as giving yourself the tools (like opt-ins and retargeting) to connect with them after they’ve navigated away.
7 Conversation Starters to Get Your Audience Talking
You can’t read anything about marketing these days without reading about engaging your customers. But what does that really mean?
Engaging means capturing someone’s attention – connecting – and having a conversation. Not easy to do on the internet, particularly when there are millions of other things clamoring for attention at the same time.
But, that doesn’t mean it’s impossible. It just means you need to try harder.
The thing is, your customers want to talk to you. They want to know what you think, and most importantly, they want to believe that you care what they think.
It’s not as hard as you might think. Here are 7 simple conversation starters to get your audience talking to you.
#1: Express an Opinion about Industry News
You want to build authority within your industry or niche? One of the best ways to do that AND start a conversation with your followers is to express an opinion – particularly if it might be new or controversial. Of course, you should only do this if you can back up your opinion.
A good way to get started with this tactic is to follow relevant publishers and influencers in your industry. When you see them post a piece of news that’s relevant to your followers, read the article (or watch the video) and figure out what you can add to the conversation. Then share it – and make sure to include a call to action that encourages your followers to chime in with their own opinions.
#2: Ask for Stories and Experiences
Everybody has a story to tell – and when you’re speaking to an audience who all have something in common with you, then it’s easy to think of a topic that may inspire people to share their stories.
The key here is to share your own story and then ask your followers to share their best stories with you. For example, say you own a travel agency. You might tell a story of a trip you booked for yourself before you were a travel agent and how it went wrong. Then, you could ask your followers for their travel horror stories.
The benefit of this type of sharing is that it provides you with an opportunity to respond, express sympathy or amazement, and build a bond with potential customers online.
#3: Get Recommendations
People might love to tell stories, but do you know what else they like? Giving advice and making recommendations! And asking them for recommendations is a great way to get them talking.
What kind of recommendations should you ask for? Ideally, they should be relevant to your product or service. For example, I’m a marketing guy. I might ask:
What are your favorite marketing podcasts?
What publications do you follow on Facebook and Twitter?
Which marketing technique is your favorite, and why?
What marketing apps would you recommend?
You get the idea. The key is not to stray too far from your brand and product. Instead, keep a tight focus and encourage your followers to share their experiences and recommendations with you and each other.
#4: Promote Your Events and Your Community
Are you appearing at a local street fair or charity event? Sharing your involvement is a great way to remind people that you stand for something other than making money – and to underscore your involvement in your community and industry.
Even if you’re not appearing at an event, there’s a benefit to letting your followers know what’s going on in your community. Giving a nod to other businesses or to local charities can help you build trust and earn the admiration of your followers. You can encourage conversation by asking questions like these:
Will you be attending the Fourth of July celebration?
What the last community event you attended?
Another option is to include an open call to action at the end, something like “We hope you’ll stop by and check out our booth! There’s a free gift in it for you!”
#5: Ask about DIY Projects
Whatever industry or niche you’re in, the chances are good that your followers have some DIY experiences that are relevant. Asking about them is a great way to learn about potential customers and build a warm rapport with them by responding to what they share.
Ideally, a DIY project should be something that uses (or could use) your products. However, it doesn’t have to be. The key is to find a way to make what you post relevant to your brand – and then stand back and let your followers do the rest.
#6: Ask Open Questions
Asking questions is one of the best ways to get your followers talking. It’s especially helpful to you if you can get them talking in a way that helps you to learn more about them – because that’s information you can use to create future content.
For example, if you’re targeting small business owners, you could ask questions like:
What’s your biggest challenge as a business owner?
What problem do you wish someone would solve for you?
What product or service has helped you the most?
The answers to these questions can help you write blog posts, create a social media strategy, or even develop new products that are ideal for your target audience.
#7: Ask for Testimonials
You already know that reviews and testimonials are hugely important in the world of marketing. What better way to get some new testimonials to share on your site than to ask your customers to provide them on social media?
Not only will asking for opinions help you get some positive testimonials, it may also help you discover potential issues and nip them in the bud before they become big problems. You should be prepared for some surprises – but if you approach the request with the right mindset, this technique can help you learn a lot about your customers.
Look who’s talking…
The bottom line is that your audience wants to talk to you. They don’t read your blog or follow you on social media because they’re looking for a lecture. The key is to give them the encouragement they need to share their thoughts, experiences, and opinions with you – and then, to stand back and listen to what they say.

Sell Stuff by Smartphone (Or Buy and Sell Stuff for Profit)
The easiest way to make some fast money either online or off, is to sell stuff. And smartphones have made it so simple to sell stuff fast, it’s ridiculous. I’m talking seconds to post an item, and results can be same- day in many cases. Usually, you can simply sell stuff you already have. You may be surprised at how much stuff you consider useless or junk, that other people will pay good money for. I’ve used this method over and over to not only make fast cash but to get rid of stuff that’s taking up space. Years ago I made the commitment to sell something whenever I bought something new. It’s a great strategy to keep things from accumulating and keeping open, welcoming spaces in your home.
If you think you don’t have anything of value to sell, think again. I’ve sold some crazy stuff over the years including a 12-year old, used hot water heater when I upgraded to a money-saving hybrid model. (I got $100 bucks for it!) And remember, to make fast money selling stuff, you don’t have to have any stuff at all. You can simply visit local yard sales, estate sales and even ReStores that sell stuff cheap. Once you get the hang of knowing what sells and for how much, you can turn an easy profit anytime you want. OK, so here are the best ways to sell stuff online and offline. I’ll assume you already know about Craigslist and Ebay, which can work well in some instances. So I won’t go into how to sell on those platforms. Instead, I’ll share some rapidly growing platforms that are built for smartphone simplicity. You can use them all on your computer as well, but once you try them on your smartphone you’ll truly understand just how fast and easy they make selling. It’s snap and post simple – just so outrageously easy to do. Take this first one for example…
Letgo is one of my favorite ways to sell stuff. With Letgo you’re selling to local people. The screenshot above shows the LetGo website, but most of their users (including me!) use only the LetGo smartphone app. (It’s so simple!) More and more people are using Letgo instead of Craigslist nowadays, probably due to all the spam and scammers that you can be subject to when selling on Craigslist. Not only is Letgo virtually free of the scammers and spammers, selling is so simple. You basically open the app on your smartphone and click “Sell Your Stuff”. Then you choose a category and your camera opens. Next, you click to take a picture of the item, and add a price. That’s it! Believe it or not the app usually knows exactly what to title your listing as, and how to categorize it, based only on your picture. I’ve literally sold over a thousand dollars worth of stuff on Letgo and most stuff goes within days of listing. I sold a snow plow, some shelving, a used mattress, a used hot water heater, work out equipment and even an old trampoline! I’ll bet if you took a quick tour around your home, shed, basement, closets, garage, etc., you would find a lot things to list. Just bring your smartphone along with you. Keep the Letgo app open and click “Sell Your Stuff” every time you find something you want to get rid of. Then snap a picture of each item you’re listing, add a price, and your item will go live instantly! It’s fun, easy and believe me, quite profitable!
Similar to LetGo, OfferUp also allows you to buy and sell items locally. Their user base is about half the size of LetGo but it is still heavily used and a great way to sell stuff. The screenshot above shows the OfferUp website, but most of their users (including me!) use only the smartphone app. Some people find OfferUp to be easier to use than LetGo though I personally prefer the former. Like LetGo it is very simple to sell your stuff, and the task of posting an item for sale can be done in as little as 30 seconds. Just like LetGo, the smartphone app uses an onboard messaging platform so you can communicate with others without giving out your personal information. The one advantage that OfferUp has over LetGo is that you can sell items anywhere, because you can ship items to your buyers. That expands your reach if you are willing to do a little extra work with packing and shipping. In fact, you may want to consider listing your items on both LetGo and OfferUp at the same time to increase your exposure. Then simply remove the item from both after the sale is made!
This one is similar to Letgo and OfferUp but specializes in clothing. Ask the average person (especially women) what percentage of clothing they own, do they actually wear. Most people will say 10-20%. The rest sits in their closet or bureau drawer collecting dust. Some of it is even like new. Why not turn some of that clothing into cold hard cash? That’s where Poshmark comes in. Poshmark is a place to sell (and buy) high-end fashion items including designer clothes and brand-name shoes.
Selling clothing with Poshmark is far simpler than using ebay or amazon. You can use the website or you can sell right from your smartphone. Used designer clothing is worth a lot, and there is no shortage of women who would rather not pay retail price. After all, if they can get clothes or accessories that are still in good condition for half off or more, most jump at the chance. Keep in mind when using Poshmark that it attracts a specific type of customer:
1. Fashionable women who are budget-minded clothing enthusiasts
2. People who own lots of designer brands
Even if you’re not a big fashion enthusiast, Poshmark may be a good way for you to make some extra money. Remember, in addition to your own closet, you can find great products to sell on Poshmark by going to yard sales, estate sales and even thrift shops. You may be surprised at how little you can pay for designer clothes that are lightly used.
Mercari originally started in Japan when there was no place to sell their used goods easily online. It is now becoming increasingly popular in the US and the U.K., with billions of items being sold every month. Mercari called themselves an online “flea market app” and let users sell whatever they wanted. Their motto is Sell it, Ship It, Get Paid. That’s because with Mercari, buying and selling from your smartphone is so simple. Keep in mind when using Mercari that it attracts a specific type of customer:
1. People looking for a deal
2. People trying to get rid of extra stuff
You can sell clothing on Mercari, too. But stick to Poshmark for designer clothes. However if you have stuff like baby clothes or sports apparel to sell, then Mercari is a better choice. Another great thing about Mercari, is that items can be bought and sold in less-than-mint condition. Again, think flea market. Just make sure that you’re honest about the item’s condition so you won’t get bad feedback. The best way to get started with Mercari is to download the app onto your smartphone The best way to get started with Poshmark is to visit their site or better yet, download the app onto your smartphone. Then sign in and start browsing. Check out top sellers and familiarize yourself with what sells for the most. Then get busy listing the clothes you want to sell, and start shopping for more locally that are in high demand!
OK, this one that not everyone can use, but it can be a big money maker if you can. If you live in a rural area like I do, you know that it is very common to see old, broken down cars in people’s yards. In fact, there are literally millions of people who let old cars rot in their yard. That’s a fact, even though 80% of most vehicles can be recycled, and there are companies who will pay good money for that material. But you need to go to the right place. I had an old SUV I needed to get rid of last year. I called around to some junkyards and a few offered to come get it for $50 or $100. One even offered me $250 which I almost accepted. Then I did some research online.
I found peddle.com and entered my vehicle’s info into the website. They offered me so much I thought it was a scam. But more research told me it was the real deal. I accepted the offer and a week later they came and towed it away and handed me a check for $1572. If you have any disabled vehicles sitting around, this is an easy, profitable solution. You could even help others get rid of their old junkers for a small commission. 😉 Action Plan… OK, now you have five places where you can sell stuff you either already own, or stuff you buy exclusively to sell at profit. Why not try out these resources on your computer or smartphone right now. Open each website or app and poke around. Then pick one or two to work with regularly. Add a few items for sale and see what happens. As I mentioned, I’ve made lots of money selling things I no longer need and you can too. Thanks to today’s technology, it’s fast, easy and fun!
Hourly Pay Remote Work
If you prefer more structured pay where you earn money for each hour you work, there are plenty of opportunities for that online. Most pay in the neighborhood of $15 an hour. The drawback of course is that you’re basically trading your time for money, buy many people prefer the steady income and don’t mind that arrangement. If you’re one of those folks, then you need to be careful to avoid the myriad of scams and fake opportunities. I can help you with that. In this section you’ll find some of the best reputable ways to earn an hourly wage online…
Many people around the world now work from home for Amazon customer support. Amazon even provides the computer for their remote customer service workers. They’ll send you a large chromebook monitor with a small drive built in the back and they’ll even insure the equipment at your home address. There’s no experience needed, as long as you can talk, you may be able to get hired and you’ll be fully trained by them. Amazon has recently decided to pay all their workers a minimum of $15 an hour, so you can expect to start at that pay. They also offer plenty of overtime, and may even pay for you to go to college. All you need is a dedicated work station and decent internet speeds of 10mps download and 5 upload minimum to be eligible for this opportunity. Oh, and for security purposes, you can’t use WiFi, you need to plug into your router with an Ethernet cable. And they want your work-space to be in a dedicated room with a door. If an Amazon Remote Customer Service position interests you, take a daily visit to Amazon’s regularly updated job postings for availability
LiveOps is a highly respected outfit that hires customer service agents who want to work from home. As a LiveOps agent, you provide services as your schedule permits, in blocks of time as small as 30 minutes. You also get to choose times that work best for your schedule. Most of their agents get a straight talk-time rate of 25 cents per minute, (that’s $15/hr.) and some work on a base rate plus commission bonuses. Some of their other programs pay entirely on commission. As an independent agent for LiveOps, you are paid after submitting regular invoices for their services, using their easy-to-use web-based system. They pay you by either check or direct deposit, whichever you prefer, twice a month. There are also opportunities for sales incentives which can significantly increase your revenue – so the better service you provide, the greater your revenue potential! If you’re someone who likes working directly with people and helping them solve problems, this may be a perfect company for you to join. For more information on working for LiveOps, visit their website here.
Sykes is another great outfit for people who want to do customer support from home. Founded in 1977 and based in Tampa, Florida, Sykes has over 10,000 employees. They love to hire people who work from home and always have many positions available to fill. Working for Sykes gives you the chance to help people by answering a question, solving a problem, or finding something they need. Serving clients in many different industries, call reps at Sykes are always in high demand, and many positions require no experience.
Action Plan… OK, now you have three places where you can earn a nice hourly pay doing customer support from home. Why not check out these resources on your computer right now. Open each website and see which one interests you most.
If working remotely really interests you, I also suggest you join a few Facebook groups on the topic. That way you can read what other remote workers are talking about, learn more about this type of work and learn of open positions with other respectable companies. This Remote Customer Service Jobs Facebook Group is one you can join for free where you’ll find lots of advice and regular job postings…
And here’s one more Legit Home Jobs Facebook Group you should join called the 1099 Contract Job Group… While most home based customer service positions do offer flexible hours, remember that it’s more like showing up to work at a call center, but in your own home. That means you need to clock in your start time, work, track your hours, and so forth. If that’s too structured for you then you may want to check out the next section. In it you’ll find another way to work from home and earn easy money…
Microtasking If hourly pay is not your thing, microtasking is another way you can earn money from the comfort of your own home, any time of day or night. Microtasks are quite simply, quick odd jobs that you can do and get paid. Some take 2-3 minutes and may pay fifty cents or so. Others take a couple hours and pay as much as $50. These microtasks are simply things that human beings can do much more effectively than computers. So companies pay for actual humans to do the tasks. That’s where you come in. Examples of microtasks you can do to earn money include transcribing audio recordings, researching data, and even things as simple as identifying objects. Rather than hiring a large temporary workforce or leaving tasks like these incomplete, lots of companies outsource the work to a few large microtasking sites. In this section you’ll find three such places where you can sign up to complete microtasks and earn fast money.
Amazon Mechanical Turk (MTurk) is a marketplace for work that requires human intelligence. Mturk, as many people call it, is a service that gives businesses access to a diverse, on-demand workforce. Workers can select from thousands of tasks to complete whenever it’s convenient for them to do so. Mturk calls these tasks HITS, which is short for Human Intelligence Task. A HIT is basically a question that needs an answer. It represents a single,
task that a worker can complete such as submitting an answer. They can then collect a reward for completing the task. Below is a screenshot from Mturk that I took as I was writing this guide.
As you can see from the screenshot, the pay for HITS ranges greatly, with opportunities to earn as much as $58 and as little as a few dollars and less (just pennies in some cases) for faster tasks.
Mturk is a great choice for some quick cash, and thousands of people perform HITS daily. It’s a stable platform that has been operating for more than a decade now, so it’s reputable and reliable. You can sign up here. It takes about 48 hours to get approved. During that time, they verify your social security number (for tax purposes). Once verified, you start out in a probation period where you need to complete at least 1 HIT for 10 days.
Appen is a global leader in the development of high-quality, human annotated datasets for machine learning and artificial intelligence. Or to put it more simply, they hire real humans to rate and evaluate things such as search results, social media material and more. Applicants must be self-motivated and internet savvy. The work is flexible, part-time, and home-based work that requires a computer and/or mobile device. Some of the work includes what they call “micro tasks” which are simple tasks that can be completed in about an hour from the comfort of your own home. There are also projects that take up to 20 hours a week. You do need to qualify for their projects and the qualification processes is not paid, but it does not typically take long. But if you want to qualify you’ll need to study the guidelines for an hour or so then take a test for each selected project. If you pass, you can then start work on the project. If you do not pass, then they move you onto the next qualification.
ClickWorker is another site where you can get paid to complete simple tasks. It is similar to Mturk and Appen, and like the other two prlatforms, you can sign up as a Clickworker free of charge. Clickworker is always looking for Internet users worldwide, Their micro tasks include proofreading written texts, participating in surveys, and things such as searching for data. Again, you are not paid by the hour, you are paid for each completed task you perform. You work independently based on your own schedule, so it is flexible. You decide when and how much you want to work – on a freelance basis. All you need is a computer and/or mobile device with an Internet connection and there’s no experience or qualifications necessary. You receive payment once you’ve earned $10 and your balance never expires. They pay by paypal so you need to be in a country where you can get a paypal account.
Action Plan: OK, now you have some great ways to earn easy money with simple microtasks. Why not check out each one of these microtasking platforms on your computer right now. Open each website and sign up. Then stick with the one or two you like best and earn regular pay!
Did you know that there are companies that will pay you to shop? It’s true! You may have heard of this in the past and even dismissed it as a scam. And unfortunately, there are lots of scams in the industry. Those are the companies that try to get you to pay a fee up front. The real mystery shopping opportunities are actually 100% free. And they are legit! You can earn anywhere from $5-$25 per mystery shop, plus reimbursement for any purchases required. Some mystery shoppers earn thousands of dollars a month, though a good expectation is somewhere around $400-$500 a month. But hey, you’re shopping, and for many people that’s a fun way to earn part-time cash!
Here’s how it works: You sign up at a mystery shopping company (see the recommended companies in this section) and they pay you to act as a regular customer at stores in your area, and to provide feedback on your shopping experience. You may be asked to visit a local grocery store, a fast-food restaurant, a liquor store, etc. Other tasks I’ve seen include shopping for a car (including a test drive!) or visiting your local YMCA as a prospective customer. In exchange for your feedback, (store cleanliness, employee helpfulness, etc.) you are paid a fee. In most cases you’ll be asked to make a purchase, then you’ll be reimbursed up to a set dollar amount. Once you sign up and are approved you simply log into a website and choose jobs that interest you. You are provided with all the details on exactly what is expected with each job. After completion you then log back in and enter your feedback into their website. If this sounds like something you may be interested in trying, then check out the following trusted mystery shopping companies. They are all free to join and have very good reputations…
